Foxmarks: Error: Failed to parse sync file

If you get this message, it means that Foxmarks was unable to retrieve a synchronization file from the server. There are a number of reasons that this might happen, for instance:

• You are using a proxy server that requires authentication and you haven't yet authenticated.
• You are using a commercial WiFi setup (like those often available in hotels) that requires some form of registration and you haven't yet registered.

For a clue of what's going on, you can look at your log file by going to Tools -> Foxmarks -> Settings... -> Advanced and clicking on View log file. At the bottom of the file, you should see whatever Foxmarks is receiving over the network that is causing this error.
